Alongside their clothing line, Laundry Service has curated the Laundry, a new art curation program by and for women. After their first exhibition titled Memories in August, the collective is opening CUNT, exploring the word’s context throughout history in an aim to understand how it’s affected our relationships with ourselves as women.
The exhibit will inform and educate visitors on subjects like fertility and infertility, mental health and gynaecology, but most importantly, highlight the importance of being comfortable in your own skin. “We aim through this work to open a progressive dialogue that critically examines the way women have grown to understand and view themselves amidst the socialisation of their bodies.”
To coincide the exhibit, a schedule of curated events including a Babyface x NTS podcast takeover, artist-led workshops and talks around topics like health and self-care.
CUNT opens at the KK Outlet, Hoxton, London on the 4th – 28th of October and will open daily from 9am-6pm.
